Overflowing with Thankfulness
Last week, our College community gathered for a truly momentous occasion—the Thanksgiving Service and official opening of our newest Senior School Building and Amphitheatre. It was a day filled with joy, reflection, and deep gratitude as we celebrated not only the physical growth of our campus but the flourishing of a Christ-centred community that continues to thrive in purpose and faith.
We were honoured to welcome a number of distinguished guests, including the Honourable Prue Car, Deputy Premier of NSW, Minister for Education and Early Learning and Minister for Western Sydney, and the Right Reverend Peter Lin, Bishop of the South Western Region. Their presence, along with that of many other valued supporters and friends of the College, was a powerful reminder of the partnerships that have helped shape our journey.
The theme of the day, drawn from Colossians 2:6–7, invited us to reflect on what it means to be “rooted and built up in Christ, strengthened in the faith… and overflowing with thankfulness.” This verse beautifully captured the spirit of the event. As we dedicated our new learning spaces, we gave thanks not only for bricks and mortar, but for the life that fills them—learning, creativity, worship, and community.
The new Senior Learning Centre (H Block) and the adjoining amphitheatre represent a significant step forward in our mission to provide life-changing, caring, quality Christian education. With purpose-built music classrooms, rehearsal studios, a keyboard lab, and flexible learning spaces, these facilities will enrich the academic and creative experiences of our students for years to come. The amphitheatre, which also serves as a full-sized basketball court, embodies our commitment to holistic education—supporting students’ growth academically, physically, socially, and spiritually.
We are deeply grateful for the support of the NSW Government’s Future Education Infrastructure Fund, which contributed to the development of both E and H Blocks. We also extend heartfelt thanks to the Anglican Schools Corporation, our College Council, architects, builders, and project teams whose vision and dedication brought these spaces to life.
The service itself was a moving celebration of God’s faithfulness over the past 14 years—from our humble beginnings with just 50 students to a vibrant community of over 1,200 learners. Through prayers, music, student, staff and parent reflections and an encouraging Bible talk from Bishop Peter Lin, we were reminded of the many ways God has sustained and grown our College. A particularly moving moment in the service was the choral performance of our College Prayer, composed by our Head of Performing Arts, Mr Tim Chavura. His thoughtful composition transformed familiar words into a reflective musical piece that beautifully captured the heart of our community and our dependence on God.
As we look to the future, we do so with confidence and hope. Planning is already underway for our next phase of development, including a fourth Senior School building and a landmark Performing Arts Centre. These projects will further strengthen our identity as a Christ-centred, future-focused College committed to excellence, character and faith.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day. May we continue to walk forward—rooted in Christ, built up in faith, and overflowing with thankfulness
God bless,
Mrs Naomi Wilkins

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
