Joseph Shines on the OPAC Stage

Over four incredible performances, Oran Park Anglican College brought the beloved musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to life in a vibrant and joy-filled production that wowed audiences and received rave reviews from our College community.

With dazzling costumes, energetic choreography, and powerful vocals, the cast and crew delivered a show that was both polished and heartfelt. From the opening notes to the final curtain, each performance was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and courage — core values that resonate deeply at OPAC.

Students from across the College took part, showcasing their gifts not only on stage but also behind the scenes through backstage management, sets, props, lighting, sound, costume design, and front-of-house hospitality. Their commitment and craftsmanship were evident in every detail.

“These performances are a celebration of the remarkable talents of our students, and the creativity, dedication, and teamwork that have brought this production to life,” said Mrs Naomi Wilkins, Principal.

“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat has been a show I’ve wanted to direct as a school musical since I played Pharaoh in a 2011 production,” said Mr Dean Irwin, Director. “The production team has sought to emphasise God’s promises being fulfilled. In the song Close Every Door, Joseph proclaims, ‘for we have been promised.’ God kept His promises to Joseph and the Israelites, and He still keeps His promises to us today through His Son, Jesus Christ.”

The show was a true community effort, supported by dedicated staff, volunteers, and families who worked tirelessly to bring the production to life. Each night, the Hall was filled with laughter, applause, and moments of pure joy as the cast led audiences on Joseph’s journey of resilience, forgiveness, and hope.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this outstanding production. It is a shining example of what happens when students are empowered to create, perform, and grow together.
