Reaching New Heights: Celebrating Creative Events and our 2025 vision

This past week has been a whirlwind of excitement with sporting finals, student performances, and the spectacular Book Week parade. I had the privilege of attending some of our MISA and IPSSO finals, and I couldn’t be prouder of our students, who demonstrated both skill and exceptional sportsmanship.

Capturing Creativity

On Wednesday evening, we were treated to an inspiring showcase of creative and performing arts, featuring over 300 students from Year 3 to Year 12. Our students’ remarkable talents, combined with their dedication to practice and collaboration, resulted in a stunning exhibition of craftsmanship. These events, along with many others, provide our students with valuable opportunities to develop their skills and grow in confidence as capable and passionate learners.

Parent Survey

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who took the time to complete the recent Parent Survey. We greatly appreciate hearing about the positive impact our caring, Christian learning environment at OPAC is having on your children. Where concerns were raised, we are actively working to address them, especially regarding communication about event timing. The College uses several communication channels, including emails, the parent app, and this newsletter. While we aim to avoid overwhelming parents with information, we recognize that messages can sometimes be missed. We are also committed to ensuring that our communication is clear and accurate from the start to prevent any confusion.

Additionally, your feedback on cocurricular activities and parent workshops has been invaluable in guiding our future planning. We are committed to providing an environment where every student can thrive.

Strategic Priorities for 2025

Looking ahead, our College Council and Executive team have been reflecting on the future directions of the College as we continue to grow and evolve. I am excited to share with you our Strategic Priorities for 2025, which will focus on striving for excellence in all our learning programs within the framework of our caring Christian values.

We deeply value our partnership with parents, who share our commitment to providing a high-quality education. Thank you for your continued support of the College.

God bless,

Mrs Naomi Wilkins
