A Term of Wonder and Resilience

As we come to the close of Term 2, I am filled with gratitude for the many ways our community has so clearly lived out our vision of being a faith‑fuelled community of excellence. Each day, across classrooms, playgrounds and co-curricular spaces, we see students striving to grow in character, courage and capability, supported by staff who are deeply committed to their flourishing.

A particular highlight this term was our drama production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It was simply fabulous. Our students brought this much-loved story to life with creativity, confidence and professionalism, and it was a joy to see so many gifts on display—both on stage and behind the scenes. The production was a wonderful reflection of teamwork, perseverance and excellence, and we are incredibly proud of all involved. Endeavour Assemblies

It has also been a delight to celebrate student growth and achievement through our recent assemblies. At the Junior School Recognition Assembly, we acknowledged recipients of the Principal’s Awards and Powerful Learner Awards—students who are to be commended not only for their academic effort, but for the way they approach their learning with curiosity, resilience and a desire to do their best. Similarly, at our Senior School Endeavour Assembly, we recognised students who have demonstrated diligence, commitment and a strong work ethic in their studies. These moments of celebration remind us that growth takes many forms, and each step forward is worthy of recognition.

Resilience

Across the College, we continue to prioritise the development of resilience and a strong sense of belonging. We know that when students feel known, valued and supported, they are better equipped to face challenges and grow through them. It is always heartening to hear students speak about their experience at the College; many remark on the inclusive, respectful and diverse culture that exists here. This is something we cherish deeply and continue to nurture with intention.

I would like to sincerely thank our staff for their dedication, care and professionalism throughout the term. Their investment in our students—academically, socially and spiritually—makes a profound difference each day. I am also grateful for the ongoing partnership of our families, which is such an important part of our community.

As we enter the holiday period, I pray that it will be a time of rest, refreshment and joy for each of you. We look forward to welcoming students back for Term 3, ready for another season of learning and growth.

Wishing you a safe and blessed break.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” – Hebrews 12:1-2

God bless,
