Over four fantastic performances, Oran Park Anglican College brought the beloved stage play The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to life in a magical and hope-filled production that wowed audiences and received rave reviews from our College community.
From the moment the wardrobe doors opened, audiences were transported into the enchanting world of Narnia. Rich storytelling, imaginative staging and committed performances combined to create a truly memorable theatrical experience. Every element of the production reflected the care, collaboration and craftsmanship of our students and staff.
“These performances mark a significant milestone in the life of our College, as we celebrate not only the performing arts, but the growth of creativity, confidence and character in our students” said Mrs Naomi Wilkins, Principal.
The production brought together a large and dedicated team, both on stage and behind the scenes. Students stepped into their roles with courage and curiosity, embracing the challenges of live performance and supporting one another throughout the rehearsal process.
“Theatre asks a great deal of young people. It asks them to be vulnerable, to fail in rehearsal, to try again, and to keep showing up,” said Mr Dean Irwin, Director. “These students did all of that and more. The resilience they have demonstrated across this process has been extraordinary, and the bonds that have formed between them, quietly and without fanfare, have been one of the great privileges of this experience to observe.”
Behind each performance was a story of perseverance and growth. Long hours of rehearsal, technical preparation and creative refinement culminated in a production that not only entertained, but reflected the strength and spirit of our vibrant learning community.
The College extends its sincere thanks to every student, staff member and volunteer who contributed to this production, as well as to the many families and community members who attended and supported the cast.
