A Joyful Celebration of Song: Annual Choral Festival at Thomas Hassall Anglican College

In Week 6, students from TASC schools across Sydney and regional NSW gathered at Thomas Hassall Anglican College for the annual Choral Festival—a celebration of music, unity, and shared purpose. The event brought together students from a wide range of campuses, all performing with dedication and enthusiasm.

The Stage 3 Choir presented a joyful and heartfelt rendition of I’m So Blessed, while the Senior College Choir delivered a moving performance of Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story from the hit musical Hamilton. Both performances showcased the students’ growing musical skills and expressive ability.

One of the most memorable moments was the combined choirs, featuring nearly 350 students in each singing together. The powerful sound of so many voices united in harmony was inspiring and uplifting.

Praise God for the gift of music and the opportunity for students to come together in such a meaningful way. The Choral Festival continues to be a highlight on the calendar, and we look forward to what next year will bring.

Joseph Bursts to Life in Colourful Musical Premiere

On Thursday night, the College community was treated to the spectacular premiere of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat—a vibrant and high-energy production that brought the stage to life with live music, dynamic dancing, powerful singing, and stunning lighting.

The student cast delivered brilliant performances, filling the theatre with energy, humour, and heart. Backed by a live band, the music was bold and tight, and the choreography lit up the stage with colour and movement from start to finish.

This production is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students and staff involved. Special congratulations to Mr Irwin for his outstanding direction and leadership across yet another successful school musical.

With limited tickets still available for tonight’s show and Saturday’s performances, don’t miss your chance to see this joyful and uplifting production. It’s a celebration of talent, teamwork, and storytelling at its finest.

Studio Concerts Showcase Student Talent in New Music Building

In Week 7, the College held its semiannual Studio Concerts, featuring students enrolled in our private tuition program. The fifty performances were held across two concerts on Tuesday evening. These concerts gave students the opportunity to perform for parents and friends, many for the very first time.

The event was a celebration of developing skill and musical confidence, with students of all ages performing on a range of instruments and voice. It was also a milestone occasion—the very first music performance in the College’s new music building.

Special thanks go to our dedicated instrumental tutors who work closely with students each week, and to Mr Miller for coordinating and hosting such a smooth and successful event.

Congratulations to all students who performed—it was a fantastic display of commitment, courage, and progress!

God bless,
