Endeavour Assembly Celebrates Resilience
Our recent Endeavour Assembly was a vibrant celebration of student achievement, highlighting the creativity, determination and character that continue to define our school community.
One of the standout moments of the assembly was the recognition of students who took part in this year’s Science Week activities. Tasked with designing and building a catapult, students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, ingenuity and a spirit of discovery. The project encouraged students to apply scientific principles in a practical setting, while developing their skills in collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving. The impressive designs on display were a testament to the innovation and perseverance of our young scientists and engineers.
The assembly also celebrated students across Years 7–12 who have demonstrated outstanding effort and commitment to their studies. Their dedication to learning, willingness to embrace challenges and consistent pursuit of excellence exemplify the values we seek to foster in every student. These achievements remind us that success is built not only on ability, but on determination, discipline and a commitment to continual growth.
A particular highlight of the morning was the inspiring address from our guest speaker, Emmanuel Bakenga, whose message on character and resilience left a lasting impression on students and staff alike. Through powerful stories and personal reflections, Emmanuel challenged students to view obstacles not as barriers, but as opportunities for growth. He spoke passionately about the importance of perseverance, self-belief and maintaining strong values, especially during life’s most difficult moments.
His message served as a timely reminder that true success is measured not only by what we achieve, but by the character we develop along the way. Students were encouraged to remain resilient in the face of setbacks, to learn from challenges and to continue striving towards their goals with courage and determination.
The Endeavour Assembly was a fitting celebration of the remarkable talents, efforts and achievements of our students. From innovative scientific thinking to academic dedication and personal growth, the assembly showcased the many ways our students continue to rise to challenges and inspire those around them.
