Celebrating All We Shared in 2025

As 2025 draws to a close, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every family in our Oran Park Anglican College community. This year has been filled with learning, laughter and growth, and none of it would have been possible without your support, encouragement and partnership.

Reflecting on the year, I am reminded of the vibrant spirit that makes our College so special. Our Multicultural Expo was a true highlight, bringing together students, staff, and families to celebrate the rich diversity within our community. The hall was alive with music, colour and stories from around the world, reminding us that everyone belongs at our College, no matter where they come from. Events like these are a living testament to our commitment to the habits of Powerful Learners: courage, curiosity, craftsmanship, collaboration and compassion.

We also celebrated the joy of being active and together at our Colour Run, where laughter and clouds of colour filled the air. The Junior School disco brought smiles to faces young and old, and we’re looking forward to a Gelato cart on the last day of term providing students with a cool treat! These memorable experiences are made possible by the tireless work and generosity of our Parents & Friends Association (P&F). Their commitment to giving back—whether through fundraising for new resources, organising special events or simply creating moments of joy—has enriched the lives of our students in countless ways. On behalf of the entire College, thank you to our P&F for your dedication and care.

Throughout the year, our students have grown not only in knowledge but also in character. From Book Week parades and Compassion Chapel, to camps and service projects, our young people have shown what it means to be compassionate, courageous and collaborative. Our College motto, “of greater worth than gold,” inspired by 1 Peter 1:6–7, reminds us that our faith and community are precious and enduring, refined through challenges and triumphs alike.

None of this would be possible without the dedication and passion of our staff. Each day, our teachers and support staff go above and beyond to ensure every child is known, valued and challenged to grow. Their commitment to excellence, care and Christian values is the foundation of our thriving community. To all staff—thank you for your hard work and heart.

As we approach the end of term, I warmly invite all families to join us for our Celebration Assemblies. These gatherings are a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year, honour achievements and give thanks together as a community.

May you and your loved ones enjoy a safe, restful and joy-filled Christmas and holiday season. Thank you for being part of our College family and for all you do to make Oran Park Anglican College a place where every child can flourish.

“Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”— Luke 2:11

May the hope and joy of Christ’s birth fill your hearts and homes this Christmas.

With gratitude and best wishes,

Mrs Naomi Wilkins
