A Season of Change

As we approach the mid-way point of the term, I want to commend our students, staff and families for their continued dedication and resilience. The energy across the College is focused and purposeful, and it’s wonderful to see so many finishing the year with strength and pride. Our Year 12 students have now completed their final exams and can breathe a well-earned sigh of relief as they await their results in early December. Many have already secured early offers to their preferred university degrees, allowing them to enjoy this time, reflect on their achievements and begin planning for the exciting journey ahead.

Throughout this year, we have continued to grow as a faith-fuelled community of excellence. Our commitment to Christian disciple-making has been evident in the way students and staff serve one another, support College events and nurture opportunities for spiritual growth. The integration of our new Chaplains has further enriched our community, providing spiritual leadership across both Junior and Senior Schools. We have also seen students thrive academically and in co-curricular pursuits, supported by dedicated teachers who embody our values and strive for excellence in every aspect of College life. Above all, we remain a community where every member is known, cared for and encouraged to flourish in a safe, inclusive and Christ-centred environment.

Staff moving on from OPAC

This season also brings change and I would like to acknowledge several staff members who will be leaving the College at the end of the year:

Mrs Jodie Dunn

Mrs Jodie Dunn, Junior School teacher, is relocating interstate after seven years of dedicated service. Jodie’s creativity and commitment to her students have been deeply appreciated.

Mrs Stephanie Wright

Mrs Stephanie Wright, Junior School teacher, will be taking up a new role as Sports Coordinator at Leppington Anglican College. Stephanie has been with us for four years and has made a significant contribution to our sporting and academic programmes.

Mrs Isobelle Van Loon

Mrs Isobelle Van Loon, Senior School PDHPE teacher, is moving to PLC’s Vision Valley campus to pursue her passion for Outdoor Education. Her enthusiasm and care have enriched our PDHPE faculty for the past two years.

Mr Rohan Miller

Mr Rohan Miller, Head of Music Performance, will be moving closer to home to Shire Christian School as Head of Music. Over his six years at the College, Rohan has played a pivotal role in developing our music ensemble programmes and nurturing students’ musical talent.

We thank each of these staff members for their service and wish them every success in their new endeavours.

I’m pleased to share that we’ve made excellent progress in securing new staff for 2026. These appointments will ensure continuity and also support the continued growth of our Senior School. I look forward to introducing our new team members in the new year.

Let’s continue to encourage one another to finish the year strong—celebrating achievements, supporting each other, and preparing for the exciting opportunities ahead.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9

God bless,

Grandparents Day

Last week, we had the joy of welcoming grandparents into our Junior School. Grandparents Day is always a special occasion at OPAC, and this year was no exception. It was heart-warming to see our students share their learning with such enthusiasm and pride. From shared stories to hands-on activities, classrooms were filled with laughter and connection. We are grateful to every grandparent who made time to be with us. Your presence brought warmth and a sense of continuity that deeply enriches our learning community.
