A Joyful End to a Year of Growth
It is almost the end of the Term 4, and it feels like the time has flown – there have been so many things happening in Junior School this term! As I have read though the Semester 2 reports for each student, I am proud of how they have grown. So many teachers have seen growth in the skills, knowledge, persistence and resilience of the children in their classes. Many of our students have strengthened their ability to navigate friendships and grown in their self-confidence, which is so wonderful to see.
Our Year 6 Celebration Dinner is tonight (5th Dec) at 5:00pm in the MPH, where we will celebrate the end of their primary school journey. It is always an exciting night and marks the end of a number of years of learning at OPAC for some. Many others will continue their journey into Year 7 with us next year, and we look forward to seeing them return on their first day of Senior School. The Photos above feature the Year 6 teachers being decorated as Christmas trees for Year 6’s last Junior School Chapel.
Junior School Celebration Assemblies will be held on Tuesday 9th December for Prep-2 and 3-6, starting at 9:00 am (P-2) and 11:15 am (3-6). Students are to be in full summer uniform for this event. Parents are welcome to join us in the MPH as we reflect on 2025 and celebrate together.
On Wednesday 10th December, Junior School will be enjoying gelato – a gift from our fabulous P&F. This will be a mufti day and students are asked to wear comfortable clothing suitable for running around and playing. Please ensure that your child brings a hat that day too.
As we look forward to the Christmas holiday break, it is exciting to be able to plan holidays together and I hope and pray that every family can spend some time relaxing together. Thank you for your continued support of our fabulous teachers this year and your partnership with us. Together we have seen our children grow in their understanding of God, His world and each other.
God bless,
Mrs Jenny Squire
