As we reach the end of a busy and rewarding Term 2, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the many engaging learning experiences that have taken place across our Junior School.
Science Comes Alive at Science Week
Last week, our students enthusiastically participated in Science Week, centred around the inspiring theme: “Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All.” This theme encouraged curiosity, creativity, and a spirit of discovery across all year levels. A highlight of the week was our “Dress as a Scientist” day on Tuesday, where students and staff embraced the occasion with imaginative costumes, celebrating scientists past and present while sparking conversations about the important role science plays in our world.
Students across the Junior School enjoyed a range of hands-on and engaging experiences tailored to their stages of learning. Prep, Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 were excited to attend the Sound and Light Show, where they explored scientific concepts through an interactive and visually exciting performance.
Our Year 3 and Year 4 students had the opportunity to visit the Senior School Science laboratories, where they participated in hands-on experiments guided by Senior School staff. This experience not only deepened their scientific understanding but also inspired excitement about future learning in the sciences.
Meanwhile, Year 5 and Year 6 students attended the engaging Fossil Finders show, further expanding their knowledge of Earth’s history and the fascinating study of fossils.
To conclude Science Week, all classes were invited to visit the Curie Project entries for 2026, displayed in the Junior School Library. This showcase celebrated student inquiry and innovation, providing inspiration and a sense of pride in the scientific achievements of our learners. Judging of entries has occurred this week and students will be notified next term.
A sincere thank you goes to Mrs Grant for her creative planning and organisation of this wonderful week of activities. Her dedication ensured that every student had the opportunity to engage meaningfully with science in fun and enriching ways.
As we finish the term, I would like to thank our students, staff, and families for their continued enthusiasm and support. I pray that everyone has a safe and restful holiday break and look forward to welcoming you back for another exciting term ahead.

CSSA Met-South Boys Football & Girls Netball Gala Days
On Monday 22 June, our Junior and Senior Boys Football teams travelled to Barden Ridge Sporting Complex to compete in the CSSA Met South Boys Football Gala Day. Both teams competed with determination, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship, proudly representing Oran Park Anglican College throughout the day. It was an outstanding achievement for both our Junior and Senior teams to qualify for the CSSA State Finals.
Our Girls Netball teams also achieved wonderful results at the CSSA Met South Netball Gala Day, with our Senior Girls finishing in first place. Across both gala days, our students displayed great skill, resilience and College pride. Congratulations to all students involved on these fantastic achievements.
NSW Oz-Tag Gala Day – Year 3 & 4
On Friday 12th June 2026, our Year 3 and 4 boys’ and girls’ teams proudly represented Oran Park Anglican College at the NSW Oz-Tag Gala Day. Students displayed excellent determination and teamwork throughout the day, achieving strong results and competing with great spirit. We congratulate all players on their efforts and the positive way they represented the College.
Touch Football Stars
Marcus and Lucas proudly represented Oran Park Anglican College at the NSWCIS Touch Football Gala Day on Wednesday 3rd June 2026. Both students performed strongly, demonstrating excellent teamwork and sportsmanship, and represented the College with pride.
Mila Owns the Stage
Mila achieved excellent results at the Dynamic Song and Dance Festival, with her troupe placing 1st in Hip Hop (12U) and 1st in Music Theatre, and 2nd in Jazz and Lyrical against strong Sydney-wide competition. She demonstrated great dedication in balancing competitions with Nutcracker rehearsals, where she has earned multiple roles. Congratulations, Mila, on a fantastic achievement!
Mr Cleur Wins as Coach
Mr Cleur recently coached the CSSA Boys Primary Soccer Team across the representative season.
The team remained undefeated and finished as CIS Champions, reflecting a strong and consistent campaign. Throughout the season, Mr Cleur provided steady guidance and support, helping the group work effectively together.
