Faith in Action Through Service Learning

While Ms Menzies is currently away and busy with the Mudgee team, I am pleased to share a glimpse into the Year 10 Service Learning experience across all four locations: Vietnam, Temora, Mudgee and our local area. When students return, I’m sure they’ll have plenty of stories to tell; be sure to ask them what they learnt and how they served.

Each group has embraced the opportunity to serve, learn and build connections in their unique setting. Whether it’s mixing cement in Vietnam, preparing meals in Temora, painting churches in Mudgee or spending time with residents at Anglicare, our students are putting compassion into practice.

Service Learning is more than just a week away from the classroom. It’s a time to be challenged, to grow in understanding, and to contribute in meaningful ways. Across each location, students are engaging with new people, listening to stories, lending a hand and reflecting on what it means to live out our College values.

We’re proud of the way students have approached this experience — with courage, curiosity, craftsmanship, collaboration and compassion. Thank you to the many churches, organisations and families who have welcomed our students so warmly.

These photos capture just part of a week we believe will leave a lasting impact on students’ hearts and minds.

Year 9, it will be your turn next year for service learning trips, so take a moment to think about which opportunity you might like to be part of.

As we head into Christmas, we give thanks for the chance to serve others and reflect the love of Jesus in both what we say and what we do.

God bless,
